$290,000 Worth of Marijuana Confiscated After Drug Bust

McHenry County (WIFR) – Deputies from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department have arrested 38 year old Mchael Karavastev of California for drug trafficking after a routine traffic stop in Illinois.

Police Deputy Woods pulled over Karavastev for a minor traffic violation Monday afternoon on Route 14. After K9 unit arrived on scene, officers uncovered 8 boxes hidden in a crate containing 75 pounds of marijuana. The street value of the drug confiscated is $290,000.

Karavastev is charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of the drug, and with intent to deliver.
