ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford IceHogs have hired a familiar face as their new head coach.

Long time assistant Ted Dent will be taking over the coaching reigns next year.

Dent has spent the last five seasons as an assistant for the Hogs. Working alongside head coaches Mike Haviland and Bill Peters, the team qualified for the Calder Cup playoffs in four of the five seasons in the A-H-L.
