It's the March of Dimes March For Babies Walk.

Mike Garrigan and Nichole Vrsansky will be out there and so will one Rockford family and they're hoping by sharing their story you too will be inspired to walk or perhaps donate.

Heidi Yaw didn't know until her son Noah was born 15 weeks early that her cervix was 'incompetent' and could not hold the baby's weight. Her one pound baby boy died two weeks later. When Yaw got pregnant again doctors stitched her cervix and put her on special medication. That worked for 31 weeks when baby Peyton was born 9 weeks premature but healthy.

In that fight they had the March of Dimes in their corner. A lot of the money March of Dimes raises goes into the research and that research helps establish the technologies and the medications that are used to help save preterm babies.

One in 8 babies is born premature, it can happen to anyone, Yaw was a healthy 23 year old but now with the help of a little angel named Noah and an adorable one year old named Peyton she's working to help as many families as possible avoid losing a child because he or she was born too soon.
"i think every baby is a miracle.. a baby.. getting here.. healthy and hopefully full term.. that's a miracle."

The march for babies walk kicks off at 10am this Sunday at the Verdi Club in Rockford, that's on Madison Street right by the Rockford YMCA.
