UPDATE: Rockford Man Shot On Westside

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The 30-year-old Rockford man found shot multiple times early Friday morning has been upgraded to stable condition.

Rockford police say he was shot in the stomach in the 200 block of Carbaugh Avenue just before 4:00 a.m. Friday. A passer-by took him to the hospital where he was suffering from life-threatening injuries.


ROCKFORD (WIFR) – A 30 year old Rockford man was shot by two men at least once, possibly several times around 4 a.m. Friday morning on the 200 block of Carbaugh Avenue. When Police arrived on scene they were told the victim had been transported by a passer-by to Rockford Memorial.

Rockford Police are still investigating. The two suspects are described as follows: One man is 5’ 11” tall and 160 pounds last seen wearing dark clothing. The second man is 6’ 1” tall around 170 pounds also last seen wearing dark clothing.
