The Rockford Police department is still investigating a domestic dispute that ended up into a six-hour standoff between Rockford police and a 36-year-old man. Police initially repsonded to a home at 10-11 Foster court around 5 O'clock. They say Steven Parham and his girlfriend got into a fight there. Parham refused to leave the home and barricaded himself inside a basement bedroom. A swat team was called to the scene and tried to negotiate with parham from outside. Crews broke open windows and sprayed pepper spray into the home. Eventually they went inside and said Parham wanted just wanted to fight. Parham is facing aggravated battery charges to a police officer.
