JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- Janesville police have arrested four teenagers after a nearly 6-hour standoff stemming from a shooting.
Police were called around 5:30 p.m. Friday about a suspect shooting a firearm outside a home. When officers arrived, the suspect retreated into the home while three other people caused a disturbance.
Police say a SWAT team was deployed to the home. SWAT members used an armored vehicle and non-lethal chemicals to arrest the 17-year-old suspect around 11:45 p.m. Friday.
The Wisconsin State Journal (http://bit.ly/11vzXxJ) reports the suspect was arrested on charges of reckless endangering safety, failure to comply with an officer's attempt to take custody and minor possession of a handgun.
Two other 17-year-olds were arrested for disorderly conduct. A 19-year-old was arrested for recklessly endangering safety, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct.
