" I was just shocked it was the only place we got to hang out really"

For Chris Eccles and other customers stopping by Jaime's bistro it's usually the *sign that grabs their attention.,,,but after heavy flames rip through the restaurants bar area.. it's the charred silhouette that makes it stand out.Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the driver of a Ford pick-up truck to slam into the side of the building..and say they still don't know what exactly led to the restaurant going up in flames...

" It's not any every day occurrence to have someone drive into the side of the building and having a fire to this extent"...says Division Fire Chief Frank Schmitt
Right now the Rockford Fire department is not labeling the fire suspicious but say they still have loose ends that need to be tied...

"We have to determine how he actually exited the building without being injured" says Schmitt

Customers have been taking pictures through-out the day and say they hope their next photograph will be back inside....
