The 2008 construction season is now underway. It's one of the first and very visible examples of how the city is putting our sales tax dollars to work.

Citywide street resurfacing kicked off Monday. It's all part of this year's 7 million dollar residential street program. 150 city streets are scheduled for work during the summer road construction season, 17 of which will be addressed this week. The one percent sales tax referendum voted into reality in November of 2006 is funding the project.
