ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- This past weekend, thousands of dino enthusiasts flocked to the Burpee Museum for Paleofest. This is the 15th year of the event. Kids could meet Dr. Scott from the popular PBS show, Dinosaur Train. There were also hands on activities and learning stations for the adults.
“I’m just following in a longtime interest in paleontology and this is kinda a 16th birthday present and I just thought it would be such an honor to speak with these big names in paleontology,” said Brenden Hall, a paleontology enthusiast.
More than 3,000 people came for Paleofest. The symposium was so popular, the museum’s director says it may become an annual tradition.
