One of the best problems a church can have is too many people. Such is the case for the Heartland Community Church located in the Colonial Village Mall in Rockford. The church's auditorium seats sixteen-hundred, but around two-thousand adults have been showing up for the Sunday morning service. So in order to immediately accomodate the increase in attendance Heartland has repurchased their old building located off Perryville Road. Fortunately for them the previous owners haven't touched the building since they bought it from the church in 2006.
The church's directional leader, Mark Bankford says, "The amazing news was that they hadn't touched it since we walked out, so it's left exactly they way it was and we knew it worked well back then. I mean literally the vaccum cleaner was still sitting where we left it." The old church auditorium can accomodate up to eight-hundred fifty parishoners. Mark says this should take care of the overflow for some time.

You must be new to Heartland because even when the church was using video teaching we were filling the seats. It does not all have to do with Mike Breaux being live. It helped but he would be the first person to say that it is all God who is moving among the people and not Mike. I have attended Heartland for 4.5 years and whether video or live the teaching has always been amazing. As it is we all ready have four services and we are separated anyway. That is not how Heartland does church anyway. It is in small groups. Heartland does not want you to feel segragated. You need to think about getting into a small group. Heartland can help you if you want to get plugged in but that is your choice. It makes a world of difference. Please try it a small group I know you would love it.

I am concerned with there being 2 churches. We may become segregated now. And not being able to see Mike teach will make alot of people unhappy, he is alot of the reasons you are filling the seats! I just don't see this as a good choice. More people GREAT! but keep us together, don't segragate.
