One of the best problems a church can have is too many people. Such is the case for the Heartland Community Church located in the Colonial Village Mall in Rockford. The church's auditorium seats sixteen-hundred, but around two-thousand adults have been showing up for the Sunday morning service. So in order to immediately accomodate the increase in attendance Heartland has repurchased their old building located off Perryville Road. Fortunately for them the previous owners haven't touched the building since they bought it from the church in 2006.
The church's directional leader, Mark Bankford says, "The amazing news was that they hadn't touched it since we walked out, so it's left exactly they way it was and we knew it worked well back then. I mean literally the vaccum cleaner was still sitting where we left it." The old church auditorium can accomodate up to eight-hundred fifty parishoners. Mark says this should take care of the overflow for some time.
