A strong cold front will move into southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois tonight causing temperatures to fall to -10. Coupled with these cold temperatures we will see strong winds blowing upwards of 40 mph. The combination of very cold air and strong winds will cause wind chills to fall to -30 to -40.
At this temperatures exposed skin will freeze in 10 minutes. Be sure to protect yourself in weather like this by keeping your car full of gas and bringing blankets and extra clothing in your car in the event of an accident. Temperatures will stay cold through tomorrow night, but by Monday we should be back into the 20.
