I am sorry to hear about your son, i have a daughter that has a chromosomal disorder. For me there was/is a lot of unanswered questions. I know your case is different but i might be able to understand a little better thatn most people if you would like to talk, get referals to the best people to help you understand about this disorder or just someone to listen i am here for you and your wife. i wish someone had taken more time to research Hannah's disorder. to date she is the only one nationwide recorded having this disorder. Take strength and comfort in each other. please contact me if you would like to talk. Dora Smith

Dear Morrissey family, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family at this time. We as well have endured your pain, as we buried our son 3 years ago from a Trisomy 13 chromosone disorder. Although it is not fair and the pain will remain, please allow yourselves time to grieve and reflect on what his short life has brought you for the rest od your lives! As, I have always said, they have left the most heart breaking foot prints on our hearts forever. In memory of your son Michael and our son Christopher, God bless you and yours always. Some people dream of Angels, we have now held ours..... and you have now too!

My husband and I are praying for you and your wife. It is difficult to comprehend why such a tragedy happens. We hope that you cling to each other during this difficult time and allow yourself to grieve. Not doing so would be an injustice to your sweet son's memory. My husband and I had only been married 7 months when I suffered a miscarriage. The pain will subside and surviving without resentment toward your spouse will only be a testament to the love you both share. Thank you, Mayor Morrissey, for being a beacon in the Rockford are. You are going to bring this city to its feet again. Respectfully, Nathan and Dawn Withers

Dear Mayor Morrisey, I had written out a much overdue card to send to you telling you that Fred and I had been keeping you in our prayers. I called Ryan Brauns to find out where to send it, and he told me the terribly sad news of your loss. Please know that more than ever, you and Stacey are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Your special child is now in the hands of our Loving Father in Heaven where there is no pain or suffering. May the love and support of family, friends, and our community help you through the days ahead. Sincerely, Fred and Jill Kapala
