ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Dozens of kids took time off from their summer vacation to help clean up the Stateline.
Members of the Rockford Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were performing service projects around the Stateline today. We caught up with them at McIntosh Elementary School in Rockford as they were cleaning up the yard. The kids say it feels great giving back.
“When we came here there were weeds sticking up everywhere and now to look at it you get a good feeling like we did that together.”
The kids also did yard work for families in Belvidere and Rockford.
