YWCA Rock County Readies for 6th Annual Race for Racial Justice

ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- Runners and walkers have about a week to receive the discounted registration rates for the YWCA Race for Racial Justice/5k Pancake Run. Discounts end June 17.

The USATF-certified Race is set for Saturday, June 22, at the Rock County 4H Fairgrounds in Janesville. Runners will speed across the flat (as a pancake!) terrain in the nearby Janesville neighborhood.

The YWCA is bringing back the popular Friday night early registration on June 21. Race participants can pick up their materials Friday between 4pm-8pm at the Craig Center on the fairgrounds. More than 500 participants are expected this year, so runners can avoid the Raceday check-in lines by picking up their materials at the fairgrounds Friday night.

This year, the YWCA is also introducing free multicultural games for families after the Race. The games promote the YWCA's goal of encouraging diversity and cross-cultural understanding in Rock County.

More information about the Race is available online at www.ywcapancakerun.com.
