ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A popular reality TV show comes to life thanks to our local YMCA and the competition is fierce.
The Y's Intern Challenge is back for the second summer. Its an Apprentice type competition for high school and college students. Every week contestants have to work together to solve problems or they face being fired. That's something Nicole Morales had to deal with at Tuesdays Board Room Session.
"I feel like I'm not done... I'm defiantly going to come back. I'm going to continue helping.Getting fired doesn't mean that its over, it just means that I no longer qualify for the $2,500 at the end of the line. But I'm still going to be here and I'm still going to help out and I'm going to make my name known," Morales said.
That $2,500 scholarship is part of the grand prize. The other is a paid internship at the YMCA.
