Woodward Charitable Trust Invests in Rockford and Area Communities

FORT COLLINS (WIFR) -- Woodward, Inc. honored 13 local non-profit organizations at a luncheon on Friday, December 14 at Franchesco’s Ristorante in Rockford. The organizations were selected by the Rockford Site Committee to receive funding from the Woodward Charitable Trust. In all, $531,000 was donated to the organizations.

At this third annual Woodward community partners’ recognition luncheon, Sagar Patel, President of Aircraft Turbine Systems, expressed his appreciation for the work conducted by our community service organizations. “I am extremely impressed by the number of organizations in this region that are committed to community service. We are fortunate to be able to partner with such caring organizations,” said Sagar Patel.

Woodward is committed to supporting programs and organizations that ensure our communities are desirable places to live and work. The following organizations in the Rockford area were named as 2011 grant recipients:
