UPDATE: Police Identify Beloit Shooting Victim

BELOIT, Wis. (AP) -- Police say the woman found fatally shot in Beloit was a local woman.

Authorities Monday identified the woman as 44-year-old Jennifer Falcon, of Beloit. Police say she was found lying in a road Sunday about 6:30 a.m.

She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police Capt. Dan Risse says the shooting doesn't appear to be random.


BELOIT (WIFR) – A 44-year-old woman, found shot and laying in the middle of the road, has died.

Beloit Police say they were called to Woodard and White around 6:30am Sunday for a person down in the road.

Police say the woman had been shot. She later died at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
