ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) -- A Rockford woman was sentenced in U.S. District Court to six years in prison for helping to plan a bank robbery.

Janell Holland pleaded guilty in connection with the August 2012 robbery of a BMO Harris Bank branch. In addition to the 23-year-old Holland, 31-year-old Michael Fryer also pleaded guilty to bank robbery charges.

The Rockford Register-Star reports investigators first pinned the robbery on Fryer alone. Holland, who worked at grocery where the bank is located, was arrested in May 2013. She admitted to stealing license plates as Frye allegedly stole a pickup truck to use after the robbery.

Fryer managed to steal $16,709 from the bank, escaping in the truck, which he set afire before joining Holland in her car.

Fryer is scheduled to be sentenced July 1.
