DEKALB (WIFR) – An Esmond woman is dead after DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies say she tried to drive under an unfinished bridge.
66-year-old Susan Walker was driving on Esmond Road, southwest of Kirkland, when she came across a series of barricades indicating the road was closed.
We’re told Walker drove around those barricades and ended up hitting a support beam on the bridge. Her cause of death and the cause of the crash are still under investigation.
