ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Wesley Willows announced today it received a check for $18,991 for participating in the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program. The Nicor program offers cash rebates to current Nicor Gas business customers on all rate classes for the purchase and installation of high efficiency equipment, products and services.
Wesley Willows met the program’s criteria by completing upgrades to the HVAC system in the Willows Arbor and Willows Health and Rehab Center buildings. New boiler plants and digital controls were installed in both buildings, replacing original systems. Improvements from the project will realize a savings of 25,000 therms annually. Mechanical Inc. in Freeport also worked very closely with Wesley Willows and NiCor to populate and submit the application, which led to securing the nearly $19,000 incentive check.
Tom Burke with Mechanical Inc. in Freeport and Ghassan Majdalani from Nicor personally presented a check to Bill Pratt, President & CEO of Wesley Willows awarding the $18,991 grant incentive for increasing the efficiency of natural gas usage at the 4141 North Rockton Avenue, 24 acre Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that offers an active, secure lifestyle for seniors through ongoing, personalized care.
