Week 3: "Better U" Making a Lifestyle Change


ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Five local women believe they have a second chance at life thanks to a new challenge that's helping prevent a leading cause of death nationwide.

We are continuing to follow this group through Rockford Health System's "Better U" Challenge. The women are on week three of the heart healthy program and say they already have lost weight and feel great. Thursday night's lesson was on eating healthy. Dietitians say we shouldn't diet but instead need to make a lifestyle change by eating more fruits and veggies and more cold water fish, such as tuna..

In a few weeks the group will head to the grocery store to learn what items they should steer clear of. They are also blogging about their journey which wraps up in February.
