Water Project Almost Finished
An upgrade project on Rockford's water lines is nearing completion.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) --The city of Rockford is close to completing a $75 million water improvement project.
The public works department started improving the water system more than a decade ago. The makeover should be complete by the summer. Employees say they've seen 60% fewer complaints over the last few years. That’s because the new renovations helped produce clearer water with fewer chemicals.
