CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- A Cherry Valley man who flew in more than 30 combat missions during World War II is one of the many honored Saturday for his service to our country.
Elmer "Lyle" Wilt received a special tribute today during Cherry Valley's Veterans Day Rememberance Ceremony. Wilt enlisted in the Air Force when he was 18 years old and flew the B-17 bomber.
The ceremony included a march through town and wreath ceremony.
