BELOIT (WIFR) -- Two hundred World War II and Korean War veterans, plus women who worked in factories during those wars, are on the trip of a lifetime to see the monuments built in their honor in our nation's capital.
Ten busses left Sunday morning from Beloit for the 5th Vets Roll trip. They toured the air museum in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday. The group will spend Tuesday visiting the memorials along the Washington Mall.
The veterans don't pay anything to go, the trips are funded entirely by donations. They'll be back at the Eclipse Center in Beloit around 9:30pm on Wednesday and everyone is invited to welcome them home.
