ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Two Rockford firefighters are after a vacant home goes up in flames.
Crews say the fire started around 10pm Friday night at the duplex at 920 9th avenue. No one was inside and it took crews about 90 minutes to get the fire under control. Since the building was already vacant, the city decided to tear down the duplex. The two firefighters who were hurt received minor injuries. Investigators are calling the fire suspicious and are still looking into what caused the blaze.
