ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Air service from Rockford to southwest Florida could soon take off from the Chicago-Rockford International Airport.
Airport Director Mike Dunn says he feels confident that service will available to and from Fort Myers, Florida starting in early December. You may remember Direct Air used to provide service to the area, before going bankrupt last spring. Dunn says an agreement with a new airline could happen by October 5th.
