Under the Radar Holiday Giving Helps Carpentersville Students at Lakewood School

POPLAR GROVE (WIFR) -- Over 30 new winter coats were donated to 6th grade students at Lakewood School in Carpentersville.

Hats, gloves and coats for needy kids were donated by family and friends of Josh Horton, a 6th grade teacher at Lakewood School in Carpentersville. The program which is in its second year, is called Students Needing Outer Wear or SNOW.

Students who needed the winter weather clothing were able to "shop" for their new coat and enjoy donated cookies and hot chocolate.

Our thanks goes out to the Hortons who sent us this picture of the collection coats that were donated this holiday season.
