WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) – Crews with Com-Ed are hard at work tonight to get the lights back on for thousands of homes in the Stateline.

According to a Com-Ed spokesperson there was a problem at the power substation near Boylan High School. About 18,000 customers are in the dark in northwest Rockford as well as Loves Park and Machesney Park.
