UPDATE: Man Sentenced for 4th OWI

UPDATE: David Haefner has been sentenced to spend 1 year and 6 months in state prison for his fourth OWI within 5 years.

He has also been sentenced to 2 years extended supervision and will need to pay $2,055 to the DOC to collect during extended supervision.

Haefner's DOT license will be revoked for 30 months and he will have an ignition interlock for 30 months.

The other charges in the case against Haefner were dismissed.

From February 9th, 2013 Press Release:

JANESVILLE (WIFR) -- Officer Chad Woodman observed an Oldsmobile Alero travelling the wrong direction on a one way street at E. Milwaukee Street and Parker Place. Officer Woodman initiated a stop on the vehicle and during his contact with the driver noticed a strong odor of intoxicants on his breath. The operator was identified as David A. Haefner, age 29 of Milton.

Haefner failed field sobriety testing and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated fourth offense and for possession of THC.

Haefner was transported to the Rock County Jail for an evidentiary blood alcohol test. Results of the test are unknown at this time. Haefner was held at the Rock County Jail.
