Two Suspects Arrested During Drug Investigation

BELOIT (WIFR) -- On Monday, December 4, 2012, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a drug search warrant in 1100 block of Sixth St. Beloit, WI. The search warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

After the occupants of the residence were in custody, SIU deputies from the Sheriff’s Office and Edgerton PD, along with GROC officers from the Sheriff’s Office, Beloit PD and FBI, conducted a search of the residence. Located during the search was 136g of THC, 20 acetaminophen with codeine tablets, drug paraphernalia and $650 in cash.

The two occupants of the house were identified as 43-year-old Demetrious D. Broadwater and 42-year-old LaShawn D. Figgins. Broadwater and Figgins were both arrested and each charged with Maintaining a Drug House, Possession with intent to deliver THC within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of a Schedule II Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Figgins was also charged with a Probation Violation. They are both being held at the Rock County Jail and scheduled for Jail Intake Court on December 5, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
