Two People Injured After Shooting in Rockford

(ROCKFORD) WIFR -- A shooting in Rockford Wednesday evening injures two people, sending one of them to the hospital.

Rockford Police say a group of five people were shot at outside a home in the 300 block of Sunset Avenue around 9:30 pm. Two people in the group were struck. One was hit in the leg and sent to a local hospital. Police say the two victims' injuries are minor.

Witnesses say they saw two people fleeing the scene. They are described as two black males, one was wearing gray and the other suspect was wearing a red baseball hat.

No other information has been released. Police are still investigating.
