Two men were shot in separate incidents Tuesday evening in Rockford. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
At 9:15 p.m., the victim and a friend were sitting in their red Chevy Blazer AT 1200 Corbin Street when a black Chevy Impala stopped behind them and started firing. The victim's vehicle was struck a number of times. The victim, an 18-year-old man, was shot in the left leg and another shot grazed his shoulder.
The victim was transported by a family member to Swedish American Hospital and treated there.
In another incident earlier, a 20-year-old man arrived at Rockford Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
The victim places the incident on Loomis Street at 7:54 p.m. Rockford police are still investigating.
