ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- For the past several weeks, the Rockford Police Department had been investigating an individual who had been reportedly delivering crack cocaine and heroin to various people in the 4800 block of E. State St.
Detectives identified the suspect as Brandon Bloomquist. The investigation concluded when detectives arrested Bloomquist and his associate in a parking lot in the 5800 block of E. State St. on April 3rd.
Bloomquist’s associate was identified as Heather McCord and she was also taken into custody. At the time of Bloomquist’s arrest he was in possession of eight bags of heroin.
Both Bloomquist and McCord were lodged in Winnebago County Jail on the below listed charges. McCord is currently on probation in Winnebago County for a previous arrest for Battery.
Arrested: Bloomquist, Brandon J. 19, Rockford
Charges: Unlawful Delivery of heroin over 1 gram within 1,000 feet of Rockford Housing Authority property. Unlawful Delivery of a look-a-like substance within 1,000 feet of a school, Possession with Intent to Delivery heroin over 1 gram within 1,000 feet of a school, Driving while license revoked.
Bond: No Bond (Felony charge, must be set by Judge)
Arrested: McCord, Heather M. 21, Machesney Park
Charges: (2) Winnebago County warrants, Driving while license revoked.
Bond: Winnebago County warrants had bonds of “No Bond” and $50,000.
