ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens will be adding four additional free admission days to the 2013 schedule during the months of November and December. The guided tour will take visitors through all three levels of the Cottage while discussing the history of Tinker family and the artifacts inside. The museum is currently featuring an exhibit called “The Dapper Gentleman,” that visually explains what it was like to grow up as a male during the Victorian Era while focusing on the artifact remains of the Tinker family. Visitors in December will be also able to see the Cottage decorated for the holidays.
Free admission day dates are: November 6th, November 21st, December 4th and December 11th. Tours will be given at 1pm and 3pm and are guided. Spaces are limited to 15 people per tour and are first come, first serve. The museum is free of charge for Illinois residence on the following days with proof of residence.
