Three Injured in House Fire
Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in an apartment complex this morning.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in an apartment complex this morning.
Fire crews were called to 1414 Oakes Avenue just before 6:30 this morning. Firefighters battled heavy smoke and flames coming from the ground floor apartment while trying to evacuate others from the building.
We're told the blaze caused 35 thousand dollars in damage. The Red Cross is helping some of the residents.
Narrative:
1st Engine assumed Command and reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the ground floor apartment. They pulled their fast attack line and advanced into building. They held fire in fire apartment and protected the stairs while the ladder companies searched and evacuated all thre
