ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- One of the biggest Easter services in the Stateline wasn't even in a church, it was at the Coronado Theater.
This is the second year Harvest Bible Chapel held its Easter celebration at the Coronado. It was nearly a packed house with more than 1,200 people in attendance.
They started their service with music and then gospel. The church hopes to hold the event at the Coronado again next year.
Over at Eisenhower Middle School Freedom: A Church Without Walls also held its second Easter celebration, packing the school auditorium, spending the morning enjoying music, dancing, and some activities for kids.
The little ones made cotton candy, had hula hoop contests, and other competitions. Leaders of both events say today is all about community.
