The Mill Foundation Hands Out $120,000 in Grants

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- There are now 120 thousand reasons why many Rockford kids could see an improved quality of life.

The Mill Foundation award grants to 11 different Rockford non-profits totaling $120,000. For instance Junior League of Rockford will use there $10,000 grant to help fund their Backpack Buddies Program which buys food to feed low income students.

The Rockford Rescue Mission will use their new funds to help expose kids from the shelter to part of the Rockford community that homeless families don't always get to see.

Some of the other non profits receiving at least $10,000 in grants include Northwest Community Center. Children's Home + Aid and the Barbara Olson Center of Hope.
