ROCKFORD (WIFR) – The City of Rockford is now home to one of the first Tesla Charging Stations in the Midwest.
The supercharger is at the CherryVale Mall near Granite City. The electric car maker says they chose Rockford because it will enable its owners to travel between Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee.
Teslas are designed to travel for about three hours, they need 20-30 minutes to recharge and they start at around $70,000.
