Teen Sentenced to 2.6 Years for Black Friday Mall Fight

WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) -- Remember that big fight on Black Friday in Cherryvale Mall's Food Court? Well one of the men arrested is heading to prison.

Damien Galvanoni was sentenced to two and a half years. He was convicted of Aggravated Battery, Mob Action and Resisting Arrest. Two people were hurt in the fight. Jerardo Perez was also arrested but his case was dismissed.



CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- One of the guys accused of starting the Black Friday brawl in CherryVale Mall's Food Court, says he didn't do it.

Damien Galvanoni,19, plead not guilty Thursday in court. He's been charged with aggravated batter, mob action and resisting arrest. The fight broke out around 4:30 a.m. on November 23rd. Two people were sent to the hospital for minor injuries. Jerardo Perez, 19, was also arrested, charges against him have been dropped.
