ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- State Senator Dave Syverson thinks Illinois' legislature needs to go back to school. He's proposing a new bill that would require lawmakers to attend an eight-hour economics course every two years. Syverson says our record pension debt and a backlog of unpaid bills are reasons enough to make continuing education mandatory.
