ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Eisenhower Middle School students are getting a behind the scenes look at the Chicago Rockford International Airport.
Today, 60 eighth-graders got the chance to see what it takes to work in the aviation industry. They shadowed everyone from air traffic controllers, to pilots to see if it might be something they're interested in pursuing as a career. This is just the latest example of District 205's “Readiness Rocks” initiative being put into place.
"It's good, cause I get to learn the things I need to do and what I might want to do in the future," said 8th grader Donte Harris.
RFD will continue to host Eisenhower students over the next several weeks.
