STEPHENSON COUNTY (WIFR) -- Ten Illinois counties, including Stephenson are trying to send a message to lawmakers: legalize the right to carry concealed weapons.
The measures, approved by voters on Tuesday are non-binding because local law cannot override state law.
Advocates say they hope to put pressure on the State house and Senate. Illinois is the last state where concealed carry is entirely illegal. Governor Quinn has promised to veto any bill that would legalize concealed weapons.
