FREEPORT (WIFR) -- A Stateline man is trying to make it a happier holiday for the current homeless population.
Scott McLain treated several people to a meal at Logan's Bar and Grill in Freeport. After that it was off to Heritage Woods for hair cuts along with a shopping trip.
"Went out to Wal-Mart. Got them some new boots and shoes and stuff that they needed out at Wal-Mart and then went down to Radio Shack and got one of them a prepaid phone so it's been a pretty good day," McLain said.
McLain says he was inspired to reach out after watching a video on Facebook about giving back.
