BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- A Stateline school district had a bit of a scare this morning.
Administrators at Belvidere High School noticed an abandoned bag on school property. The principal placed the building on soft lockdown and moved students into the gym while police checked it out.
It turned out that the bag was harmless. It is believed that a student left it behind on accident. The soft lockdown has since been lifted.
