STATELINE (WIFR) -- Domestic violence is a serious problem in the Stateline, with a lot of women afraid to get help.
That’s why if you haven’t heard of it, we want to remind you of the organization Remedies Renewing Lives, which offers emotional support and an emergency shelter for victims and their children. Even if you don’t plan on taking action, counselors say at least give them a call to talk about it.
"No one within Remedies is ever going to ask you to make a step. They're going to ask you to look at your options. We don't ask you to break up that relationship, we don't ask you to leave, but we're going to give you the support you need if that's what you want to do,” said Karen Gill with Remedies Renewing Lives.
