ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- State Senator Kirk Dillard says he's running for governor in 2014.
The Republican will make at the Chicago Rockford International Airport on Tuesday, July 16 to talk about his campaign.
Dillard says our state needs "strong leadership... to return Illinois to its rightful place as the capital of the Midwest."
He joins an already crowded Republican field. He'll face off against State treasurer Dan Rutherford, Senator Bill Brady, and venture capitalist Bruce Rauner in the primary.
