ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- The Rock County Health Department has confirmed a case of rabies in a bat. This is the second confirmed case in the past two weeks and both confirmed cases were in a bat.
The Rock County Health Department reports the first bat came from the Footville area with the latest found in a bat in Janesville. Both cases involved exposures to family pets.
Public Health Office Karen Cain reminds pet owners to contact the health department for advice if you believe your pet has been exposed.
