UPDATE: Four Arrested After Standoff Situation in Beloit

UPDATE: BELOIT (WIFR) – A nearly 8-hour standoff in Beloit ended with four people in jail.

Officers say during a fight last night a man struck another man with a handgun. Police tracked him down to a home in the 1900 block of McKinley, but the suspect refused to come out. The SWAT team was called this morning and he along with a few others were taken into custody.

Arrested were:

Erica Martin, 21, Roscoe – Party to the crime of Armed Robbery

Dakota Stevenson, 19, Beloit – Party to the crime of Armed Robbery

Charreese Long, 22, Beloit – Armed Robbery, Probation Violation

Arsheal Gill, 19, Beloit – Armed Robbery, Warrant for Disorderly Conduct

BELOIT (WIFR) – An incident involving the SWAT team in Beloit is now over and under control.

It all started around 11:15 Tuesday night. Police responded to the 900 block of 10th Street and found a man with a head wound. Police say there was an argument involving the victim, another man, and three women. The women left the home and then returned with two more men. That’s when the victim came outside and was hit in the head with a handgun by one of the men. The women and suspects then took off.

After further investigation, police went into a home in the 1900 block of McKinley Road. Police say they saw people inside, but wouldn’t speak with officers. SWAT was finally called in at 6 a.m. The suspects were arrested around 7:30 this morning and the victim was treated and released from the hospital.
