ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Right now there are thousands of local kids who can't afford basic necessities and while their parents fight to put food on the table. Sometimes celebrations like a holiday or birthday sit on the back burner.
That's where Rockford's Rosie's Birthday Club comes in. The group throws parties once a month for those who can't afford to celebrate. Thursday night hundreds packed into the Radission hotel for the organization's 4th annual fundraiser. 23 News Anchor Whitney Martin was able to take part this year with "YOLO-Treats". As you can see the theme was sock monkey cake pops. There were so many awesome creations, the sweet treats were auctioned off to raise money for gifts and party items.
