ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Township Supervisor, Mickey Goral, received the Robert L. Turner Award last week at the Township Officials of Illinois 105th Educational Conference in Springfield.
The award is presented annually to an individual in recognition of an extraordinary commitment and tireless effort on behalf of Township Government in the State of Illinois. “Receiving the Turner Award was truly a humbling experience, when you consider the wide shadow Bob Turner cast in our State”, Goral said.
At the end of the conference, Goral concluded his 2-year term as President of the state-wide township officials group. Goral is seeking re-election as Rockford Township Supervisor in the up-coming 2013 election.
